Business travel can mean monotonous stays at nondescript chain hotels and average services. However, a new hotel rewards program may have corporate travelers and vacation goers rethinking their hotel reservations and instead booking at an independent hotel.
“We’ve spoken with hundreds of travelers and many said they felt forced to make a frustrating trade-off,” Jeff Low, founder and CEO of Stash Hotel Rewards, said in a statement. “They can either stay at an independent hotel with a more memorable, personalized guest experience, or check in to another big-box hotel – with the same bland room and the same white bed they found in the last city – just so they can earn points.
“Stash fixes all of that by making it as easy to earn points at an amazing hotel as at a so-so one.”
Hotel Rewards Program for Frequent Travelers
Stash Hotel RewardsTM has launched a hotel rewards program that includes more than 60 independent United States hotel properties in its network. Hotels in more than 50 cities participate in Stash, including spa properties in Napa; upscale resorts in the Rockies and Florida; and boutique accommodations in major cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C.
Many of the properties appear on the “Best Hotels” lists of the leading travel publications and have received high ranks on various travel Web sites.
How to Sign up for the Rewards Program
To sign up for the rewards program, access the Stash website to register for a account. Accounts are free and open to any U.S. citizen who is a legal adult in the state in which they reside. After registering, a confirmation message will be sent to the e-mail address that was used to sign up for an account. This e-mail address will serve as the Stash account ID.
How to Earn Loyalty Points with Hotel Bookings
To earn Stash points with hotel reservations, travelers should use the e-mail address associated with the Stash account when making hotel reservations. Points are earned after completing an eligible stay with one of the rewards program's Partner Hotels. In addition, hotel reservations must be made with the hotel directly; third party bookings do not result in points.
Five Stash Points are accumulated for every dollar that travelers spend on eligible room rates. The number of points earned per stay will vary, due to hotel room rates and other variables.
Redeeming Hotel Stay Rewards Points
In the Stash program, points never expire. Travelers can redeem their points on the Stash Web site. To redeem points, enter the dates of desired travel, the number of rooms needed and the number of travelers. Select the hotel and room type for the stay, then click "Use points now." When the booking is complete, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address on the account with all the reservation details.
Stash members can also access travel deals exclusive to members; for example, point bonuses matched to a member’s travel history or customized weekend getaways may be available.
Corporate travelers and other travelers can access a free Stash rewards program to enjoy earning free hotel nights without blackout dates.
